I found a 19 ft power boat with an 85 hp outboard motor sitting on a galvanized duel axel trailer for $200.  Nothing was in very good condition and all I wanted was the trailer.  I gave the boat away and kept the motor.

I took it completely apart, gave the axils and springs away and got the frame chemically stripped and then re-galvanized.  I put on all new spindles, bearings, springs, galvanized axels, wheels & tires.  Everything went back together with stainless steel hardware.

The boat is hanging above the trailer at this point so I can build the support structure that will allow the boat to safely rest on the trailer.  I'm bolting 1.5 inch square pipe to the frame in such a way that each of the twenty vertical pipe just touches the bottom of the hull.

The support structure is in place with cross members spot welded in place.  The pipe going up the side serves as a    combination boarding ladder and a rub rail guide.

Now it's time to unbolt the support structure and finish welding all of the joints.  When that's done, all of the pieces will be sent out to be galvanized.

All of the pieces have been welded, galvanized and are bolted in place with the wood runners installed.

The padding is on the runners and the full weight of boat is on the trailer.

As you can see, the curvature of the runners match the lines of the hull. That's a good sign that it might fit the boat.

Now it's time to mount the wench support structure to the front of the trailer so the boat will rest at the same position every time.

I made a few mod's after this.
I'll find some more pic's and post them as time permits!
