We designed and built all
three buildings.
It's not really a barn. It's just a good size storage building. With the exception
of hiring out the
labor for laying most of the block, I did the rest of the work.
I was my own General Contractor though I did a lot of the work myself. I put in the
insulation, the security system, hung the doors, did the trim, the paint inside and out,
hung the
cabinets in the kitchen and both baths, put in all appliances, all the lighting fixtures,
dug the
well (for the sprinkler system) and put the sprinkler system in as well as other stuff I
just can't
think of right now.
It was a big project but I've got enough room to do whatever I want to do now. I
compare
starting this project to biting off more than I could chew and being lucky enough to
finish it.
