This is the finished product!
I got this long shaft 9.5 hp Evinrude motor from an old retired outboard motor Mechanic that said he tinkers with these motors to keep busy.  He said this one was in good condition.  I guess old mechanics can lie just like the young ones can.


It ran good when I bought it but it needed a lot of work.
So I tore it apart!


...then I hung them out to dry!


I painted it dark blue to match the sailboat hull.
Now it's time to see if it runs!

I blasted, acid etched, Alodined and epoxy primed all of the individual pieces...


Here is the power head and the upper case halves.


Yup! 
It runs real well!
